Over Half of Thai SMEs Concerned About Rising Delivery Costs, Seeking Transparent Logistics Partners as a Strategic Priority in 2026

(Bangkok – 20 November, 2025) Lalamove, the leading on-demand delivery platform, has announced the findings from its latest SME survey, revealing that the majority of Thai SMEs remain cautious about business conditions heading into 2026. Conducted between September and October with over 700 business users, the survey also highlighted that over 53% of respondents view the economic landscape as uncertain and are focusing on cost control, particularly delivery and logistics expenses, which continue to be one of the most significant challenges for businesses.

In Thailand, the majority of SMEs using Lalamove operate in the online retail sector (26.9%), followed by manufacturing (14.4%) and food and beverage (11%). This highlights how on-demand delivery has become an essential component of business operations across diverse industries, supporting both growth and competitiveness in the digital economy.

Despite continued growth in delivery demand, logistics costs remain the primary challenge for Thai SMEs over the next 12 months. A total of 40.4% of respondents identified logistics and delivery expenses as their most pressing issue requiring immediate attention. Additionally, 78.1% of SMEs strongly agree that affordable delivery services are critical to their business success. As operational budgets tighten, SMEs rank transparent pricing with no hidden fees as the top factor when selecting delivery partners, followed by affordability and delivery safety. This underscores that having a logistics partner who can effectively manage costs not only helps reduce financial burdens but also enables businesses to remain competitive in a highly volatile market.
