Lalamove's cash on delivery service can be done in more ways than one because we understand that not all deliveries are the same. Read carefully and see which COD technique would be best for your business.

Cash on Delivery via Multi-Stop and Cash Handling

    Lalamove Multistop Feature COD

Choosing Multi-stop + Cash Handling as your technique to set up for cash on delivery would be good if you are delivering in bulk, and your customers are willing to wait a little while before they get their items. With Lalamove's multistop feature, you can set up to 20 stops in a single delivery ride, so if you have multiple orders that need delivering for the day, you can just have one Partner Driver do the job. To make the driver go back to you after all the deliveries, simply add the last stop with your location so that the driver may remit all the payments made. This technique is good for you if you immediately need the money from your sales. Here are the steps on how to do it:

    1. 1. Get the orders from your clients and collect them (up to 18 orders)

      2. Prepare all the orders and label them correctly to help our Partner Driver

    2. 3. Input your location as Pick Up

    3. 4. Input the many different locations of your customers as Drop Off points (make sure you input the correct contact details per Drop Off)

    4. 5. Once you're done inputting your customer's locations, add another stop and set it to your location. This will ensure that our Partner Driver will come back to you after delivering the items and collecting the payment.

    5. 6. Tick Cash Handling under Additional Services, then click Deliver Now/Schedule

    6. 7. Write your notes for the driver, then Place Order

    7. 8. Give the items to the Partner Driver upon arrival, and while en route track your deliveries via app

    8. 9. The Partner Driver will send the item/s to each customer and will collect the payments

    9. 10. After the last customer drop off, the Partner Driver will go back to you to remit the payments of your customers and for you to pay the delivery fee.

Cash on Delivery via Queueing Service and Cash Handling

Lalamove COD Cash Handling and Queueing

Same as the Multi-stop and Cash Handling technique, this is best if you will be delivering in bulk and that your customers won’t mind the extra waiting time. You can still set up to 20 stops for a single delivery ride, however, instead of your location as the last drop off, you will set the you preferred bank as the last stop for the remittance of payment Just be mindful of the banking hours of your preferred bank to avoid delays in the remittance of the payment. This would work well if you prefer having your revenue in the bank, and don't necessarily need the money immediately on hand. Still confused? Check out the steps on how to do it to make things clear:

    1. 1. Get the orders from your clients and collect them (up to 18 orders)

    2. 2. Prepare all the orders and label them correctly to help our Partner Driver

    3. 3. Input your location as Pick Up

    4. 4. Input the many different locations of your customers as Drop Off points (make sure you input the correct contact details per Drop Off)

    5. Once you're done inputting your customer's locations, add another stop and set it to your preferred bank.

    1. 6. Tick Queueing Service and Cash Handling under Additional Services, then click Deliver Now/Schedule

    2. 7. Write your notes for the Partner Driver and don’t forget to indicate your bank account number and name, then Place Order

    3. 8. Give the items to the Partner Driver, and while en route track your deliveries via app

    4. 9. The Partner Driver will send the item/s to each customer and will collect the payments

    5. 10. After the last Customer drop off, the driver will go to your preferred bank and line up to deposit the payments, essentially remitting the money to you.

    * Note: Due to the limitations of bank operations due to COVID-19, we strongly discourage this COD method.

Cash on Delivery via Purchase Service

    Lalamove COD Purchase Service

Purchase Service (popularly known as Pabili Service) is a special feature of Lalamove wherein the Partner Driver will pay for the goods on behalf of the customer first, who will then pay them back once delivery is made. So when you set up cash on delivery via Purchase Service, you are essentially “buying for the customer.” This technique will benefit you more if the customer is willing to pay for the premium just to have their item delivered on-demand, meaning you don’t have to collate the orders before sending the items out because there will only be one drop off point. As long as the item/s delivered (and bought by the customer) is/are below 2,000, you’re good to go. Here are the steps on how to do it:

    1. 1. Get the orders from your client

    2. 2. Input your location as Pick Up

    3. 3. Input your customer’s location as Drop Off

    4. 4. Tick Purchase Service under Additional Services, then click Deliver Now/Schedule

    5. 5. Place Order (no need to add notes for you will be the one giving out the item anyway)

    6. 6. When the driver arrives, give the customer’s ordered items to the driver, here the driver will pay you the cost of the items

    7. 7. The driver will go to the customer’s location, and deliver the items

    8. 8. The customer will pay the driver the cost of the item/s as well as the delivery fee

And there you go, with cash on delivery, you can now make ordering simpler for your customers, and make collecting payment easier for you!
