Lalamove, known as the most affordable on-demand delivery, just got a premium update. For peace of mind without the price tag, choose Lalamove for your next same day delivery and your items and packages are automatically insured.

đź’ˇ What is Lalamove Goods Insurance?

It is a feature that offers compensation for your delivery items in case they get lost or damaged. Every Lalamove delivery is automatically insured up to Php20,000 starting November 7, 2025.

  • Who insures the goods?

    • Lalamove has partnered with Pioneer Insurance, our insurance provider and one of the leading insurance providers in the Philippines. This insurance covers lost or damaged goods.

âś… How to avail Lalamove Goods Insurance?

Just book a Delivery with Lalamove and your delivery is automatically covered. No additional opt-ins required.

🛡️ What types of items are covered by the insurance?

The insurance covers goods that are allowed for transport under Lalamove’s terms and conditions and applicable laws. Additionally, restricted or prohibited items under Lalamove's terms and conditions and as posted on our website are not covered.

For items which are not covered, claims under the insurance will be denied.

đź’ˇ What is the process for filing for delivery insurance claims?

Please contact our Lalamove Customer Service chat for assistance in reporting the incident and filing an insurance claim.

  • For perishable items, the claim must be filed within 24 hours of delivery.
  • For non-perishable items, the claim must be filed within 3 business days of delivery.

đź’ˇ What are the requirements for filing an insurance claim?

To ensure the timely processing of your insurance claim, the client must prepare and submit the following documents required by the insurance provider:

  • Proof of damaged or lost items
  • Purchase invoice or proof of purchase
  • Repair or replacement invoice
The insurance provider may deny your claim in case of incomplete/invalid/un-readable supporting documents.

📌 IMPORTANT REMINDERS TO USERS:

General Delivery protocols must also be followed to avoid inconvenience or rejection of your claims such as:

  • No match? No give! If the driver or vehicle does not match the details in your app, do not hand over your item.
  • Ensure items being delivered are securely wrapped and packaged to prevent major damages.
  • For fragile items, apart from proper packaging, we highly encourage to put "FRAGILE" labels or markings.

đź’ˇ How long does it take to process a claim?

Claims may be processed by the insurance provider within 30 business days, depending on the completeness of the documents and verification by the insurance provider.

đź’ˇ Who processes and pays for my claim?

The insurance provider will process, validate, assess, and, if granted, pay your claim. Lalamove will only assist in collecting your insurance claim document and in disbursing the amount approved and paid for by the insurance provider.

đź’ˇ What happens once my claim is approved?

Lalamove will inform you of the insurance provider's decision on your claim. Claim settlement will be transferred to your designated bank account within 3 business days upon your explicit acceptance.

đź’ˇ What if my item for delivery is priced beyond PHP20,000?

Items priced beyond Php 20,000 can still be delivered with Lalamove. However, the maximum amount you can claim under the default coverage is up to Php 20,000 only.

If you need additional coverage beyond our default offering, you may also opt in the Goods Protection Promise program before your delivery for additional coverage. Learn more about the Lalamove’s Goods Protection Promise (GPP) here.

đź’ˇWhat happens if I'm a Lalamove account subscribed to Goods Protection Promises Program?

Lalamove will assist you in processing your claim for your Goods Protection Promises subscription and the default Lalamove goods insurance. However, the combined payment from both insurance providers shall not exceed the total value of your claim or the total limit of each policy.
