Every day, Lalamove driver partners help keep Singapore moving. From urgent business deliveries to household essentials, they play an important role in supporting customers, SMEs and communities across the island.
But behind every delivery is a person on the road, navigating traffic, weather, schedules and the physical demands of the job. For driver partners, safety and wellbeing are not separate from the work they do. They are what make the work sustainable.
That was the focus of Lalamove Singapore’s driver safety and wellbeing event, held as part of our ongoing efforts to support driver partners beyond the platform. The session brought together road safety, health awareness and community support in one afternoon.
The session brought together several partners who share a common goal: supporting people who spend their working lives on the move.
Lalamove partnered with Kidney Dialysis Foundation, Traffic Police and National Delivery Champions Association (NDCA) to create a practical and meaningful session for our driver partners.
Kidney Dialysis Foundation supported the session with a kidney health awareness talk, helping driver partners better understand the importance of preventive health and early awareness. Health can sometimes be deprioritised when work schedules are busy, but regular awareness and simple checks can make a difference.
The session also included complimentary basic health screening, giving driver partners the opportunity to check key health indicators and take a more proactive approach to their wellbeing.
The Traffic Police shared road safety reminders and practical guidance to help driver partners stay alert, responsible and safe while on the road. For delivery workers who travel across Singapore daily, these reminders are important not only for their own safety, but also for the safety of other road users.
Through the National Delivery Champions Association, driver partners were also introduced to support resources and membership benefits available to delivery workers, reinforcing the importance of community and representation within the sector.
Driver safety is a shared responsibility. It involves driver partners, platforms, road users, community partners and public agencies working together to create safer roads and healthier working conditions.
Through this session, Lalamove hopes to play a small but meaningful role in that shared effort. By bringing road safety, health and community support together, we want to help driver partners feel better equipped for the work they do every day.
Protecting our drivers also means protecting our roads, our communities and the people who depend on deliveries across Singapore.
