Good news to Lalamove driver partners who own diesel vehicle!

The Malaysian government has announced the new subsidised price for diesel, effective 1st July 2026.

If you’re a Lalamove driver partner who drives a 4x4 Pickup, Van or Lorry, this blog will help you understand the newly subsidised diesel price.

 

Diesel Price Reduced To RM2.10 Per Litre

Starting 1 July 2026, all Malaysian citizens who own a valid driving licence and a diesel vehicle registered under their own name will be eligible to enjoy the new subsidised diesel price. 

 

For Peninsular Malaysia

Before subsidy: RM4.37 per litre

After subsidy: RM2.10 per litre

 

For Sabah and Sarawak

Before subsidy: RM2.15 per litre

After subsidy: RM2.10 per litre

 

This new diesel price will be implemented across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. 

For the eligibility limit, kindly refer as below:

 

1.  RON95: 200 litres/month

  • Malaysian citizens with MyKad

  • Has a valid driving license

 

2.  RON95 + Diesel:  200 litres/month

  • Malaysian citizens with MyKad

  • Has a valid driving license

  • Owns a petrol vehicle and diesel vehicle registered under own name

  • Has an active motor vehicle license (road tax)

 

3. Additional diesel quota 100 litre/month 

  • Malaysian citizens with MyKad

  • Has a valid driving license

  • Owns a diesel vehicle registered under own name

  • Has an active motor vehicle license (road tax)

     

To enjoy the subsidy, Malaysian citizens will need to present their MyKad as per usual.

While for the additional 100 litres diesel, you'll need to apply manually through the official website at https://budimadani.gov.my or visit your nearest Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM).

 

BUDI Diesel Eligibility Transfer

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has officially announced that individuals who qualify for BUDI Diesel can transfer their eligibility to a close family member.

This initiative aims to ensure that the subsidy benefits households more effectively, especially if the original recipients does not require it.

 

Who Can You Transfer To?

The transfer is strictly limited to one person only and they must be an immediate family member, including:

  • Spouse (Husband or wife)
  • Parents (Mother or father)
  • Siblings
  • Children

It's important to note that extended family members are not eligible, this includes:

  • Cousins
  • Uncles or aunties
  • Grandparents
  • Grandchildren
  • In-laws (Mother-in-law, father-in-law or siblings-in law)

Additionally, the recipient of the transfer must already be eligible under the BUDI95 programme.

 

Important Terms To Take Note

Before applying for the transfer, here are a few conditions you should be aware of:

1. The transfer of BUDI Diesel can only be made once

2. Once transferred, it cannot be reversed

3. The eligibility cannot be passed on again to another family member

To make the transfer, you'll need to submit an application through the official BUDI MADANI website.

 

First Phase Application

Deadline for submission: 12 July 2026

Expected approval date: 15 July 2026

 

Second Phase Application

However, for applications submitted after the date above or before 27th each month will be processed on the 1st of the following month.

What You Need To Know About Sistem Kawalan Diesel Bersubsidi 2.0 (SKDS 2.0)

SKDS 2.0 is a targeted diesel subsidy program implemented by the Malaysian government for the commercial vehicles.

Any diesel vehicle registered under a company and has a valid Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) certificate is eligible to apply for SKDS 2.0.

Eligible SKDS 2.0 applicants can enjoy diesel price at RM2.15 per litre.

Fill in the required details such as:
