Lalamove Security Deposit Policy
 

The security deposit safeguards the rights of delivery partners committed to partnering with Lalamove, based on our shared values. As an on-demand transportation services intermediation platform, we offer flexibility for delivery partners to generate income, seeking those who contribute to our vision and support the expansion of our customer base with dedication and excellence.

Lalamove reserves the right to withhold payment of the deposit if the Delivery Partner fails to make the required deposit at the beginning of their operations on the Platform, in cases of suspected fraud and/or confirmed fraud, or in cases of violation of the Terms and Conditions or the Community Guidelines, in addition to applying other applicable consequences. Failure to comply with any rule may result in loss of access to the Lalamove platform and/or other appropriate measures, as applicable.

By following these guidelines, we ensure a safe and seamless platform for both customers and delivery partners.



 1. Use of the Security Deposit (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte)


  • The security deposit ensures the mutual benefit between delivery partners and the platform.

  • The security deposit is not a commission or membership fee; it may serve other purposes as agreed.

  • The security deposit agreement becomes effective on the date it is signed by the delivery partner and remains valid until mutual termination between Lalamove and the signing party.

  • The delivery partner must pay the full security deposit amount before verification. Each delivery partner (verified driver account) is required to submit the security deposit only once.

  • If driver partners have not made the security deposit on our platform, they will be blocked from accepting orders and from changing vehicles. Driver partners will automatically be placed in offline mode to prevent incoming requests.

Exception and Automatic Deduction: In exceptional cases, and solely at Lalamove’s discretion, Lalamove may activate the Delivery Partner without requiring immediate payment of the security deposit, granting up to twenty-one (21) days for payment. After this period, if the Delivery Partner has not paid the amount due and has sufficient balance in the digital wallet, Lalamove may automatically deduct the deposit amount from the Delivery Partner’s wallet. If there is no balance, the Delivery Partner’s access to the Platform may be suspended until full payment of the deposit is made.


2. Amount:

  • Delivery partners must check the applicable updated amount, as it may vary over time. All active driver partner accounts must maintain a minimum security deposit balance; any account with an amount below the required minimum may be frozen or deactivated.

 

3. Refund:

      • You have the right to request a refund of your security deposit after the closure of your Delivery Partner Account, subject to the terms of this policy.
