Lalamove Security Deposit Notice

Security deposits secures driver partners’ rights who are committed to working with Lalamove based on our shared values. As an on-demand hailing platform, we provide drivers with the flexibility to earn and hence we are pursuing a fleet of drivers that contributes to our visions and supports our expansion of the client base with passion. Security Deposit also protects the mutual interest of both parties from drivers threatening both of our sources of income with inappropriate behaviours. By abiding these ground rules, we shall create a safe and enjoyable platform for both clients and driver partners. 

  1. Security Deposit usage:

    1. The Security Deposit is to secure the mutual benefit between driver partners and the platform.

    2. The Security Deposit does not serve as commission or membership fee; it can be served as other purpose upon agreement.

    3. The Security Deposit contract commences upon driver signature date and is valid until mutual termination by Lalamove and the signed party.

    4. Driver partners must pay a full amount of security deposit after verification. Each driver partner (verified driver account) is required to submit the Security Deposit once only.

    5. If driver partners have not made a security deposit into our platform, driver partners will be blocked from taking orders and changing vehicles. Driver partners will automatically be switched to off-duty to prevent pushes.

  2. Amount:
    You should check the application for the current amount of the Security Deposit, as it may vary over time. All active driver partner accounts should have a minimum security deposit in his/her account; Any account with an amount below will be frozen or deactivated.
  3. Refund: 
    You will be entitled to request a refund of your deposit upon the termination of your Delivery Partner Account subject to the terms in this policy. Processing of payment would take 30 working days for a full refund.
