For some of Singapore's most vulnerable residents, elderly individuals living alone, people with disabilities, low-income families, home can become a space that is difficult to maintain without help.
That reality was at the heart of our partnership with Habitat for Humanity Singapore, where our team joined a Project HomeWorks home rehabilitation session as part of "Moves that Bring You Home", our Deliver Care community initiative.
Habitat for Humanity Singapore has been working locally for more than 20 years, with a mission rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. In Singapore, this work comes to life through Project HomeWorks, an intensive home rehabilitation programme that supports vulnerable individuals and families living in difficult home conditions.

Why This Partnership Matters
Moving and logistics are at the core of what we do. But beyond the platform and the bookings, what we are really part of is helping people navigate some of the most significant moments in their lives.
House moving is one of our core services, and when we thought about what our DeliverCare campaign could mean in practice, partnering with Habitat for Humanity Singapore felt like a natural fit. At its core, Project HomeWorks is about the same thing, helping people get to a better place.
For Habitat's beneficiaries, that journey requires sustained, hands-on support from people who are willing to show up and help. That is what DeliverCare is about. Using logistics and movement to create a positive impact for the communities we serve. For Lalamove, this partnership was also a chance to use what we do best in a meaningful way.

A Day with Habitat for Humanity Singapore
On the day of our partnership session, our team showed up alongside Habitat for Humanity Singapore's dedicated staff to support the rehabilitation work directly. Together, we helped to declutter and clean a home, contributing hands-on support to improve the resident’s living environment.
For the resident whose home was being transformed, it was a day that made a real and lasting difference. Being part of that, not as observers but as active participants was a grounding and humbling experience for all of us.
Daniel shared that many of the homes supported through Project HomeWorks are affected by heavy clutter, poor air circulation, limited lighting and unsafe living conditions. In some cases, residents may not even have a proper place to sleep or move safely within their own home.
“Without the help of volunteers who come in with us to start decluttering the house, they would never be given a chance to even call a house a home” , Daniel said.
The work was physical, but the purpose was simple, which was to help restore a space so that someone could live with more safety, dignity and comfort.
