Lalamove Thailand Reports 30% Growth in 2025 Despite Economic Volatility, Driven by New Services and Area Expansion
Bangkok, 16 January 2025 – Lalamove, the on-demand delivery and ride-hailing platform, reported a 30% year-on-year growth in transaction value for the period from January to December 2025, reflecting strong demand for practical and flexible logistics solutions amid evolving business needs in Thailand. The growth was driven by service innovation, geographic expansion, and continuous initiatives aimed at supporting SMEs, partner drivers, and users to grow together.
According to the UTCC Center for Economics and Business Forecasting, high-growth businesses in 2026 are expected to align with mega trends in digitalisation, health, and sustainability. Many require urgent, flexible, or special-care deliveries, and Lalamove is well positioned as an on-demand delivery platform to support these needs across the supply chain.
Ben Lin, Managing Director of Lalamove Thailand, said the growth reflects how Thai SMEs are operating today: selling across e-commerce and marketplaces, fulfilling smaller but more frequent orders, and needing fast, flexible delivery to meet customer expectations. “As more businesses look for professional logistics support from first mile to last mile, Lalamove helps them move goods quickly, affordably, and on demand.
“In 2025, we also expanded beyond delivery with the launch of Lalamove Ride and strengthened our regional presence by extending service coverage to Khon Kaen City, further supporting Thailand’s dynamic business landscape,” he added.
2025 Trend Recap: Demand trends reveal changing behaviour across the year
Lalamove observed clear demand peaks throughout the year. Both delivery and ride-hailing usage increased significantly during the year-end period. Delivery demand also increased during key gifting occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Chinese New Year, as well as during the house-moving period in March and April. This period is typically driven by relocations, sending items back home ahead of Songkran, school term changes, and new job starting periods. Meanwhile, ride-hailing demand peaked during the rainy season (June–August).
Expansion service area to Northeast of Thailand
In 2025, Lalamove expanded its service area to Khon Kaen, establishing a strategic hub in the Northeast to better serve growing demand across the region. The company also recorded strong momentum in Chonburi, where order volume increased by 130% year-on-year, reflecting rising logistics needs in key economic provinces.
Strengthening the ecosystem: SMEs, Users, and driver partners
Beyond geographic expansion, Lalamove strengthened its ecosystem by helping SMEs improve delivery capability, supporting communities during times of need, and investing in driver partner training, safety, and financial well-being.
Ben Lin, Managing Director of Lalamove Thailand, shared, “Despite economic challenges, the company saw resilient demand in 2025, more flexible fulfillment across multiple sales channels. Our driver partners are the backbone of the platform, helping businesses and consumers operate efficiently every day and we remain committed to supporting their success.”
