Pinay MSMEs gets the job done with Lalamove

Women entrepreneurs are most likely to multitask and be detail-oriented when running a business.
They are known for breaking barriers and challenging stereotypes in the business field.
That’s why this Women’s Month, Lalamove partners with Common Room PH, a women-led business, to celebrate and recognize the hard work and contributions of Pinay MSMEs who get the job done with help from Lalamove.
Celebrating the community of women entrepreneurs
In 2015, Common Room was built to provide space for local makers, crafters, and entrepreneurs to showcase their work and connect with customers. Now, it has grown to house over 300 local brands with 83% being led by women who create, deliver, and get the job done to achieve success.
Even with the challenges that women-led businesses face like pricing, marketing, logistics, and customer service, Common Room founders Roma Agsunod and Maan Agsalud highlight how women continue to show up and keep moving forward to achieve success.
“This Women's Month, Common Room PH is celebrating the women behind local handmade businesses—those who keep learning, growing, and showing up, even when the road isn’t always clear. They’re the ones who understand that trying is a journey, not a destination,” they said.
How Pinay MSMEs “deliver”
Many women entrepreneurs housed by Common Room are empowered by Lalamove’s affordable and convenient same-day delivery services to seamlessly run their business operations– helping them ‘deliver.’
Cai Sio, owner of Paper Chic Studio, shared that she was able to “deliver” her tasks as a small business owner while being a mom because of Lalamove.
“I can’t be at two places at once! Lalamove has been making my life so much easier! I can have my stocks/orders delivered and I can do it all at once - anywhere, anytime!” she said.
Paper Chic Studio is a curated party needs and memory-keeping tools for fellow moms.
Additionally, MSMEs like Paula Dimaano, the co-founder and creative director of Piesa, are supported by Lalamove’s ability to ease the worries and hassles when handling logistics.
“Lalamove plays a vital role in our operations, not only by handling our logistics needs but also by providing invaluable support through its extra wait time and queuing services, helping us manage errands we otherwise couldn’t,” she explained.
Piesa, a craft business of uniquely wearable statement pieces, began as a one-woman passion project but has now grown into a dedicated team of three. “As someone who delivers—both in creativity and service—I rely on teamwork and collaboration to get the job done efficiently,” Dimaano added.
For Patricia Fernandez Lim of Woven, a social enterprise working with crafting communities to create Filipino handicrafts, they ‘deliver’ in terms of maximizing Lalamove’s benefits to ensure their operations run smoothly, especially when they’re handling raw materials.
“At Woven, we use Lalamove for our retail and wholesale orders, as well as supply deliveries - anything from raw materials to packaging. Apart from the cheaper rates and ease of use, my favorite feature is the wallet since I can top up whenever and simply hand over any item that needs to be delivered. It's one less thing I need to think about in running the business, and we get vouchers, too!” she shared.
Filipina-owned businesses need all the help and support they can get. Lalamove is here to provide much needed logistic support including convenient and affordable same-day deliveries to all MSMEs who are trying to balance their personal lives and passion while running a business.
